My name is Elia Claessen, Interior Design student at the School of arts - KASK in Ghent.

//VISION

I consider spatial design - interior/architecture - as a way of connecting different forms of artistic work with a functional and pragmatic way of thinking.

I'm still exploring who I want to be in a world where the creative range is endless and boundaries between different multiple disciplines are blurred.

But that's maybe where it gets interesting. When you're starting to think in a multidisciplinary way.

I keep finding myself enjoying this exploration of outbalancing the free expression of the creator and the functionality of the product.

To me, composition, color and material is just as important as the form it has to serve it's function, context and users.
